Announcing a Legend
For almost four years, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (ISO) concentrated efforts on finding its next music director. After thorough consideration, Maestro Jun Märkl, a globally esteemed conductor, became the ISO’s eighth music director. The ISO enlisted CVR to craft an approach for announcing its new music director and boosting sales of its Classical Concert Series.
Introducing “The ISO…It’s SO” Theme
CVR proposed “The ISO…It’s SO,” theme. This approachable tone was developed to help the symphony orchestra’s upcoming classical series appeal to a new audience. To capture photos and videos of Jun Märkl, who was in Germany, CVR worked with our global AMIN partner to coordinate an overseas shoot. CVR coordinated with various media outlets to produce and deploy multimedia work and even lead a homepage takeover. In addition, CVR provided comprehensive support for the ISO’s press event announcing Maestro Märkl. Post-event, CVR crafted an announcement email, prepared b-roll for outlet distribution and produced a two-minute video introducing the new director that runs during intermission when he conducts the ISO.
