With over 30,000 reported cases in the US as of 2023, mpox remains a serious health threat among those most at risk of exposure. CVR partnered with the team at Bavarian Nordic, a global vaccine manufacturer, to craft a North America awareness campaign to educate the at-risk population and healthcare providers, including physicians and pharmacists.

Meet the Audience Where They Are
Leveraging audience insights and regional outbreak data, our Media and Creative teams partnered to develop a campaign strategy to deliver powerful, authentic messaging to both audiences. From dating sites and apps, event geofencing and consumer-targeted paid search to key physician and pharmacist trade publications and strategic sponsorships, a message of empowerment, prevention and vaccine availability is being delivered nationally with added emphasis on key DMAs where the risk is greatest.

Increased Awareness and Engagement
To date, campaign results reflect a true need and desire by both audiences to learn more about the disease, prevention and vaccine availability. In less than 6 months, nearly 33 million impressions have been served and more than 130,000 web sessions have been generated, leading to a 500% increase in site traffic across both campaign landing pages. Further, nearly 3,500 vaccine locator searches have been completed, connecting interested consumers with local healthcare providers to provide guidance on whether mpox vaccination is right for them.
